This is lovely. In reading S:ATF, I'm really struck by his relationship with Fred/Illyria. It's a bizarre form of protective worship but it's so very Spike that it works. I enjoyed reading Fred's characterization of Spike. Wonderful is the best word. Thank you for a lovely ficlet.
