I'm so excited to see this comm. When I created this little piece over 2 years ago it was a hair pulling fiasco trying to find places that would take it. Now it may finally find an audience. Thanks!

Title: Seeing the Light
Rating: Soft R
Summary: Xander makes a deadly error in judgment and only pieces the puzzle together when it is much too late.
Timeline: Post LMPTM, goes AU after that.
Warnings: Major character death, abstract stream of consciousness, and allusions of rape and/or possible non-con. *This is not a happy fic!*
Notes: This is not at all a shipper fic of any kind although it does have allusions to the Xander/Anya romance and a budding friendship with Spike.

Thank you for posting the link to this 'painful to read look at Xander. The style was lyrical and intense - not a bedtime story but definitely a story worth reading.

No, not a bedtime story. *lol* This story goes dark fast. But I just had to do it. It popped fully formed into my head. Style and all. *bg*

And thanks for putting it in the memories! I didn't even think about that. I tried to tag it "dark" but it wouldn't let me. I think maybe I wasn't sure how to add more than one tag.

And you're more than welcome. I wanted to add my contribution to the great start this comm has had already. You guys nailed it, this is much needed in the fandom. And the comm looks great! Whoever did the layout and banner did a fantastic job.

Weird, it took it when I entered 'Xander'. But when I went back to add 'dark' it just ignored me. *shrug* It's okay, I'm sure you'll wrestle it up right.
