There was definitely a double meaning in that last line -- after all, who could possibly spend time around Tara and not fall for her? But she's half his age, prefers women, and is -- well, dead. Between that and feeling responsible for the terrible things that happened to everyone, you can see how he'd be depressed.
I love writing semi-sane Dana! I've encountered a problem with her lately, though: more and more, I keep picturing her as Summer Glau, instead of as the actress who actually portrayed her.
