The room was vast, an icy-cold greyness of space. He felt small, insignificant and so very alone. He also needed to go to the bathroom really badly which was odd, being dead and all.
He wondered how long he was supposed to stand here. Or perhaps he should walk forward to find – what?
Somewhere, someone was screaming, as if all the souls of Hell were chasing him. Jonathan shuddered. The voice had sounded dreadfully like Warren’s.

Everything was in apple pie order for his Ascension. Ticking along nicely. The Slayer just a minor irritation.
He did like a nice plan and a good clean notebook with a big margin helped. Columns of lists, all numbered and sub headings underlined in different coloured inks.
He had every confidence in his girl, too, except – he frowned, then smoothed it away – frowns gave you wrinkles, smiles gave you joy. He made a neat note at the bottom of the page –
No 13 “Check Faith’s prior handling ability of carnivorous reptiles.”

Summary Angel remembers some of the outrages he committed.

A vampire was killing people in the same method as the disciples lost their lives. Darla always said he had a religious kink. When he was newly turned he looked for them. Those with saints names, he killed them in the same manner their sanctified namesakes had died.

Angel knew what this vampire was about. He was waiting till Angel told his friends what was going on. What Angelus had done, having to see the looks as they were faced with the horrors Angelus had perpetrated. Some of the nightmares he had to live with, knowing they would never understand
