Summary: The first, last and hardest duty of all Watchers. Buffy has been dead for 24 hours, and there is nothing more for Giles to do... no, wait, he has one last job. One last mission to send his Slayer on.

- A slayer slays, a watcher...

- Yes. No, he... he trains her, he... prepares her.

(I did what any good Watcher would do. Got my Slayer killed in the line of duty.)

I would think one good way to pay tribute to the tenth anniversary of the Buffy, The Vampire Slayer series would be to keep the fandom going, so I'm posting this a little earlier than I'd planned. But it's not exactly an upbeat story ... in fact, it's very different from what I usually write.
