Just a note from your friendly, tag-obsessed mod that I have replaced the season 8 tag with comic canon tag that includes the Angel: After the Fall and other comics. I have also added tags for all the seasons (in the format of ats: s1, btvs: s5, etc.) that you can start using. If your story is set between seasons, just select the one that best fits (or both, if you feel like it), and for stories outside the series' timeframe, you can still use the old timeframe tags.

If you have some time to kill, go click on your name in the tags list and tag your stories by season. If you've forgotten how to tag your entries, read the instructions here.

And just a reminder that the reason for tagging is that people will find your fic - if someone is looking for long plotty stories to read and clicks the multi-chaptered tag, if your long plotty story is not tagged 'multi-chaptered', they're not going to see it.

Then some statistics, just for fun.

We have 120 members and 141 watchers, and there are currently 400+ stories posted in the community by 60+ writers.

The most popular length for a story is ficlet, 101-1000 words (80 stories). The most popular genre is humour (41 stories).

The most popular characters are:

Spike (66 stories)
Buffy (54 stories)
Xander (41 stories)
Giles (40 stories)
Angel (35 stories)

Ensemble stories are also popular (45 stories).

The characters still completely unwritten include Willy the Snitch, Jenny Calendar, the Immortal, Eve, Hamilton, and Jasmine.

Finally, seeing that the community has been slowing down a bit for the summer, if you know someone who is writing Buffyverse gen and isn't posting here yet, how about pimping the community to them. The more the merrier. And to keep our writers writing and posting, don't forget to leave feedback if you've enjoyed a story.

Thank you :)

Since [livejournal.com profile] ruuger pointed out the lack of Willy the Snitch fic, I thought I'd post this piece of silliness.

Title: And Ever Three Parts Coward
Timeline: Missing scene from "The Gift"
Rating: PG-13
Length: 800 words, give or take.
Summary: With mere hours to go before the apocalypse, Ben is unable to make up his mind about what to do. He decides to have a cold one while he thinks it over. Clem wisely bows out, Willy makes a perfectly reasonable suggestion, and bad Shakespearean dialogue follows.
Disclaimer: Joss owns the characters. Will the Thrill AKA Bardmaster S wrote some of the dialogue (the good bits) but he's been dead for 390 years so I don't think he'll mind. Also, there's a reference to Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Whatever is left is my fault.

We're actors! We're the opposite of people! )
