The Golem of Prague is an actual folktale that exists in varying versions, but I’ve taken even more liberties with it. Ne – no (Czech). Wer sind Sie? – Who are you? (German). [saracen77  made me aware there’s a Discworld novel of the same name, but unfortunately I never read that far into the series, so there’s no Pratchett-like humor here.]
