Thank you so much. I love back-story fics, but was somewhat nervous attempting to do justice to William who, although he occasionally peeks out of Spike, is really a different character. I love the Mayor - and I'm sure he had no idea when he sent his minions to deal with the "Spike problem" in Lovers' Walk that he had personally invited Spike to visit Sunnydale. Hee!
