HALF A BRAIN
He’d started biting his nails again – not a good sign! And the stammer was back. Admittedly, life had been unfair – let’s face it, when you’re a small, ugly research assistant in a rundown museum, you don’t have a life. But death was worse.
If only they would give him time to think, he knew he could be a useful member of the team. He had qualifications! But, as always, dead or alive, he was the one who got laughed at and bullied.
Dalton sighed and went back to washing dolls’ clothes. Some people you annoyed at your peril.
