Have you ever heard of a sub-tropical storm? It looks and acts a lot like a hurricane, but is caused by unusually cool air going across normal temperature water, rather than by warm water heating the atmosphere. There was one churning along our east coast this week. It makes me wonder if someone could at least suffer hypothermia in a hurricane ... :-(
