You crammed a lot of years into these two chapters and, while they don't have the same immediately gratifying style as the preceding ones, they covered everything necessary for moving the plot forward. Cecily certainly did a fine job in turning Micheal into a Mummy's boy.
I felt absolutely no sympathy for Cecil's father and felt a frisson of pleasure at the 'typos' on his headstone.
