Walls Have Ears

If walls could talk, the Sunnydale High library would have a lot to say. Then again, so would the Hyperion hotel. Imagine the conversations they could have, about life, and about death, about right and wrong, demons and humans. Would they argue who held the better heroes? Would they join together to teach the world a lesson?

No. They would most likely stare longingly at each other, wondering why they had to be separated, wondering why they had to perish.

“I died twice.” The library would boast.

The Hyperion would smile, asking “Yes, but have you ever fought a dragon?”

Heh, I'm a bad mod because I'm only now reading my way though the entries beyond quick skimming :)

Anyway, I really like this drabble, it's not only funny, but also oddly touching, concidering that it's about two inanimate objects :) And speaking of which, it's about time we get some inanimate object gen in the fandom - up to now it's all been just slash and het with Spike/Door this and Spike/Clipboard that... ;)

Writing inanimate objects was interesting to say the least. I (sadly) thought of the Spike/Door and such when I started writing it. Strange, isn't it?
