Note: This story, although it stands alone, is set in the same future as "The Djinni Asked Me How I Wanted to Die".   I pounded this out in a matter of hours tonight, in one sitting.  I'm not sure how.

Although this fic is not about B/A per se--they have been apart for something on the order of seventy years, and Buffy has been married to someone else--there is certainly an element of their relationship present.  If I'm pushing it, mods, please let me know and I'll be happy to remove it; I just need to test the limits to find out where they are.  I'm a recent arrival in the world of fanfic, and it hasn't been that long since I didn't even know what the categories meant.

New Recruit

I'm currently in the process of putting together a huge AU story centering around season 5, and one of my friends, knowing it was coming, referred me to this community.

I thought I'd post pretty much the only Buffy-related story I've written so far.  I'm a MASSIVE fan, but my experience in its fanfic universe is extremely limited.

This story was actually written for a pairing list community a few years back.  The moderator took a couple hundred fandom characters, threw them in a hat, and pulled them at random.  The response was strong enough on this story that I thought Buffy fans might get a kick out of it.

I meant to make this post before my internet connection decided to go awol but now I'm back with some news about few changes we've made to the tagging policies a while ago.

First, to make it easier to find authors' stories, the author name tag is now in the format author: author name. For example, author: ruuger NOT ruuger. This way all the author names will be collected in one place in the tags list.

Second, because the tagging system only allows 100 entries for each tag, to avoid older stories getting 'lost', we've decided that when tagging multi-chaptered stories, only the first chapter of the story will be tagged with all tags, and the later chapters will only be tagged with the story tag.( Read more... )
