A Knight's Tale
In the makeshift chapel hidden in the narrow city back street, a lone knight keeps vigil on this, the eve of his calling. He kneels, broadsword clasped between his hands, his head bowed.
“If this be my destiny, grant me a sign.” He raises his eyes to the niche containing a plaster angel, lays the blade across his palms and offers it in service to the unseen entity ever present in this sacred place.
The door behind him swings open; a voice, carried on the wind, speaks.
“Behold Drogyn, Demonbane Truthsayer, I name thee 'Keeper of the Deeper Well' hereafter.”

Date: 2007-02-04 11:48 pm (UTC)I haven't seen any Drogyn fic before and it is a welcome change. I always like to see the minor characters represented. Great word choice too since you do have so few with a true drabble.
